The Drug and Organized Crime Unit (UDYCO) of the Melilla Higher Police Headquarters has dismantled a hashish and marijuana sales point near the Real neighborhood. A man has been arrested and several apprehensions of these drugs have been made from buyers who had just acquired the drugs in that place.
And all thanks to an investigation that started thanks to information received on AlertCops, a police app for mobile devices "with which citizens provide the information they consider appropriate." The aim is to facilitate citizen collaboration and police response to the possible commission of criminal acts, "as well as to speed up the provision of assistance by the State Security Forces and Corps."
The National Police encourages the public to download AlertCops, "which is crucial in the clarification of some criminal acts." It is available in the usual apps and can be accessed through the website.
