A young woman in Palma managed to alert the authorities that she was being held and threatened with a knife by a “friend” thanks to the AlertCops app. Both had previously gone to the man’s home, where the incident took place.

According to available information, once inside the property, the suspect tried to take the girl’s phone and ended up detaining her against her will. Despite the situation, the young woman was able to use her device to send an alert through AlertCops, which allowed the police to be notified without the need to make a phone call.

Thanks to this alert, officers were able to quickly go to the location, where they proceeded to arrest the individual. The intervention prevented the situation from escalating and ensured the victim’s safety.
